Richland girls basketball team after UIL Class 4A Division I state semifinals. This was a huge accomplishment for only being their first year in the program. "The key factor for our success was the standard we set for ourselves early on because of it being a new school," sophomore Katherine Taylor said. "It wasn't just about talent, it was about our work ethic we put in for every practice and the relentless effort we brought to every game."

Akshara Varma Kovvuru is a junior who wants to become a computer scientist or a graphic designer in the future. This is her first year on the newspaper staff, and she’s ecstatic to make an impact on this team. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, and drawing. Kovvuru has three certifications:  Adobe Photoshop,  Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign. She joined the team to keep the community updated with the latest events.
