On the morning of May 6th, Richland High School honored varsity girls basketball players Emmy Privatsky and Brooklynn Houston as they officially signed to play at the collegiate level. During National Spring Signing Day, Privatsky committed to William Jewell College in Missouri, and Houston signed with Guilford College in North Carolina. The two players were major contributors in Richland’s historic season where they helped lead the team to the UIL Class 4A Division I state semifinals. This deep postseason run solidified their skills and highlighted the talent of this team. Individual rankings further show their impact on the court. Emmy Privatsky finishes her career ranked in the top 81 nationally for a single stat, top 20 in Texas, and top 7 in Division 1. Brooklynn Houston earned impressive marks as well, ranking in the top 167 nationally, top 15 in Texas, and top 9 in Division 1 for a single category. While the Richland community will miss their leadership and presence on the court, their success has set a high standard for the program. As they head to Missouri and North Carolina, both athletes leave a lasting mark on Richland basketball.
