Richland girls basketball team after UIL Class 4A Division I state semifinals. This was a huge accomplishment for only being their first year in the program. "The key factor for our success was the standard we set for ourselves early on because of it being a new school," sophomore Katherine Taylor said. "It wasn't just about talent, it was about our work ethic we put in for every practice and the relentless effort we brought to every game."

"It's very eclectic," counselor Lori Heusinger said. "Sometimes it's Italian, sometimes it's Americano. I mean it just changes, and it is always good."

Members of the Richland High School Ping Pong Club compete during an advisory on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The weekly meeting gives students a chance to unwind, connect and share their love of the game. Players of all skill levels are welcome to join and participate.

Wortham joined The Raider Remark to gain experience as a sports reporter; a field where he can refine his skills. He is certified in Adobe InDesign/ Adobe Premiere Pro and aims to acquire more certifications to further his skills. In his free time, he enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family, and watching movies.
